South Boston Speedway – August 7, 2021
Race #1
After setting the fast time during qualifying, Ryan Joyner led the field to the green flag in race #1 of a twenty-five lap double-header for the Limited Sportsman division. Easing out to an early lead, Joyner eventually had company and battled with the #17 of Jason Myers for the top spot, with Myers taking over the lead at lap five. After a lap 10 restart due to a caution, Joyner would hang tough on the outside and eventually retake the top spot and hold his ground for another three laps before the #17 of Myers would edge by to regain the lead. Myers continued on to take the win with Joyner settling for the runner-up position.
Race #2
Starting from the outside of row one in the second twenty-five lap event of the night for the Limited Sportsman division, Joyner fought hard from the outside at the drop of the green flag and narrowly took the lead at the completion of lap one by less than half a car length. One lap later, Joyner took control of the top spot by completing the pass on the outside as the field entered turn one. Ryan would hold the top spot for another ten laps until the caution flag was brought out by a spinning car in turn two. As the track was cleared and the field came to the restart, the #17 of Jason Myers lined up to the outside of Joyner in the second position. At the drop of the green flag, Joyner and Myers would put some distance between themselves and the third place car with Joyner holding the top spot for seven laps as another caution flag would fly due to a multi-car incident on the front stretch. As the green flag once again waved, Joyner held onto the lead for another lap until the #17 of Myers pulled alongside Joyner and took over the top spot at the exit of turn four. Joyner continued to apply pressure from the second spot, but the #17 of Myers edged away ever so slightly and ultimately took the win with Joyner filling the runner-up spot once again.
