After starting from the outside pole position in the 50 lap Limited Sportsman event, a multi-car accident on the first lap collected Ryan, forcing him to restart in the back of the field. After battling his way back through the field to second place, the leader had nearly a four second lead on Ryan. However, before the checkered flag flew, Ryan had cut the lead down to only a half-second. Although the runner-up finish wasn’t the final result that was desired, the experience and knowledge gained from this event will prove to be beneficial in the future.
